...and I bring this up for two reasons.
One, even with a good team last year we were sent all the way across the country to face Washington. It was a move, that I still don't understand why the NCAA selection committee decided to drop that one on us. It simply didn't make sense when they talked about keeping teams closer to home.
This season we'll host a regional in Tuscaloosa where we'll be the number one seed. The Crimson Tide will open regional play at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the Alabama Softball Complex against Chattanooga. The opening game of the regional will feature Florida State and Jacksonville State at 4 p.m.
If we win this regional, and the chances are very good we will considering our record at home (25-2,) the chances of BAMA hosting a super regional are very good!!
