I got rooked into going. Not real impressed. The Bass Pro Shop itself was ok though, they sold Moon Pies. _________________

Isn't it supposed to be in the Sweet Water development?
Any word when they are supposed to start on it?

The one here in Nashville is pretty nice. The golf section was very impressive.
Did you guys hear that the City of Memphis pitched the idea of selling The Pyramid to Bass Pro Shops? That would be pretty wild.

The one I'm talking about is in Daphne/Spanish Fort. _________________

| We went to the main one in Springfield near the home office last month and the restaurant was pretty good. Hemingway's I think. We had a late lunch and they had a good selection still on the buffet. Not all of them have actual sit-down restaurants. They pretty much all have a Starbucks in them I think. I've been to the ones in Nashville, Springfield, & Broken Arrow, OK. Not that I purposely take trips to go to Bass Pro or anything, but if there's one nearby, my husband has to go. My workplace did take us on a field-trip to the Broken Arrow one last year and also to an aquarium that had an antique lure museum in it. Bass Pro being a major customer of ours and all.

yep that would be the Sweetwater complex. I havent heard a date for groundbreaking yet. Most likely Decatur City Council and Morgan County will find a way to screw it up.

They are making great, great progress on the BPS outdoor world down here near Birmingham, out near Leeds. I look forward to it's opening. I visit the stores in Nashville, Destin, and Montgomery a couple times a year on business, and love going into them, even though I'm not really an avid outdoorsman.
I am a bit concerned about the company over-building. This is not the type of economy that is good for a large retail company to be expanding it's locations and it's DEBT. Especially retail in the non-essential leisure category. They need to slow down the expansion. Decatur is a GREAT location for a store. I would even say better than Birmingham. But do we need three stores in the state of Alabama? Especially each within 90 minutes of each other? _________________ What, Me Worry?
