What's wrong with them playing in Cuba? Cuba has a strong baseball team and will even have some of their World Baseball Classic players available to play in the series. What better way to prepare for your season than to play some of the world's best? I would rather play Cuba in a series than a cupcake like UIC.

We are not playing CUBA. Its like college players train here. It will be great, but make them come here...but then they wouldnt return to cuba! Very Happy So second thought, we will fly there.

the Crimson Tide will play a three-game exhibition series against a group of collegiate level players from the Institute of Superior Physical Education in Havana.

I know who were playing. A few of their members played on the World Baseball Classic team and I'm sure will be playing with them again this spring. The Institute of Superior Physical Education is comparable to the Australian Institute of Sports, where they only develop the elite in their sports. These athletes would be considered the top of the pyramid in their sport. They begin scouting athletes in kindergarten and move them up a pyramid as they excel in their sport. So yeah I guess this would be Cuba that we're playing.

Also, the University of Alabama and the University of Havana have set up a study abroad program for Alabama students to go to school in Cuba for a semester.

I think it will be an interesting series to see what are team will look like in the Spring.
