In a nutshell, depth is developing on our OL. I suspect we'll see WV as our starting center for the '09 season and beyond. Caldwell made a comment that WV was the guy that stood out to him on the OL. He also mentioned Josh Chapman as a guy to watch (as did Saban in his Monday presser) and I bring that up because Chapman said the Vlachos was impossible to move into the backfield.

The depth is developing! Note: low pad level along with a very low center of gravity.

The guy is built like a Cypress tree.

Look at how low the QBs fingertips are to the ground while under center. If you stood the ball on end it looks as though it would touch the ground and his fingers. He is going to be under someone's breast plate all game long.

Caldwell said both were monsters in the weight room too

Chapman has really benefited from the 4th quarter program. I've heard a lot of good reports on him.

And to think he was only worth a grey shirt at one point during the last regime...

Great news. I've had high hopes for Vlachos. I'm all for some depth at OL.

I have been a big fan of his since I heard that he was coming to 'Bama. I can't wait to see him get on the field. Here's a little something in case you haven't seen it:

It's nice to know we have 3 guys who could start at center for any of our opponents.
