What drives me crazy is the NWS will still not confirm it was a tornado until a survey team goes out and investigates even with it being caught on video. (which they have already done BTW). _________________ I am Bill Kurtis, and I just found RollTideBama.com!

Smart move by them, they'd have egg on their face if it just turned out to be the Tasmanian devil. _________________ "He was a leader, patriotic to the core, devoted to his players, and inspired by a winning spirit that wouldn't quit. The sirens went off several times yesterday here in the Birmingham area. Thank goodness no tornados on the ground. _________________ "The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."
We have seen a real rise in tornados this season than in the past several years, probably due to the weakening La Nina.
I know Dr. Gray from Colorado St. has already predicted a more active hurricane season which begins in just a few short weeks. It will be interesting to see if we can get some systems to move in this area and put a dent in this long-term drought. _________________ I am Bill Kurtis, and I just found RollTideBama.com!
Not near as bad as that one, but our house was hit a couple of weeks ago by a tornado. Ripped two trees in our back yard, knocked my next door neighbors huge tree down across the road, flying debris busted out his bedroom window, and his next door neighbor had a huge tree land on their roof along with other damage on my street. I always wanted to see a tornado in person but not that close.

What is surprising, besides the force of the wind, is the way the tornado seemed to select which cars it was going to toss around. Picked up a car and left the two beside it sitting there. _________________
