NOTED 8) and crossed off my list!
The Aquarium is at best a long shot as well. Im pretty comfortable in saying ill opt for the bar instead of any "touristy" stuff.

That's not true. I'm quite progressive. I dislike Ollie's because their carbon footprint was too large. The Varsity is the world's largest drive-in, making it Satan's shrine to the internal combustion engine.
Neither place has a decent salad. And no tofu, either.

Food open for suggestions anything for casual attire. (from cheap to pricey) | If you like some southern food try Mary Macs Tea Room on Ponce De Leon Ave, about 2 minutes from the downtown area, or a couple of blocks off of Peachtree St which is the main drag. For a good burger hit the Vortex in midtown. For more southern touristy dining hit Pittypatts Porch on International, its a true Gone with the Wind setting with decent southern style food. Dante's down the hatch is a fondue type place that has live alligators in it, interesting place, decent food. If you like some Brazlian flare, hit Fogo De Chao around Lennox Mall, I need a wheelchair when I eat there. For good BBQ hit Fox Brothers in the Little 5 Points area. For a late night snack hit the Majestic on Ponce de Leon, food is better than a nasty Waffle House and the atmosphere is a hoot! |
All good ideas.
If you like meat and lots of it, and you don't feel like going up to Piedmont to Fogo de Chao, there is a Fire of Brazil about 4 or 5 blocks from the Hilton Garden Inn near Peachtree Center that offers the same type of thing. Ray's in the City, across from Peachtree Center on Peachtree, is very casual and has good seafood at a reasonable price. If you're a fan of Ted Turners or bison meat, you could check out Ted's Montana Grill. There's one on Luckie St. off of Spring street on the opposite side of Centennial Park from the Hilton Garden. Fat Matt's Rib Shack is a ways up Piedmonst north of Piedmont Park and has live music. It is a very small place, but the locals seem to like it. The ribs are tender but in my opinion they're not even on the same planet as good ole' Alabama BBQ.
I don't think you'll have any problems finding good restaurants, music, drinks, or anything else you're looking for.
Hope this helps.
