Anyone know the best way to take the name off the back of a football jersey? I'm thinking about turning my DJ Hall jersey into Ingram. Thanks, RTR.

Try a warm iron on the inside of the jersey to help loosen the glue. If you iron directly on the letter, be careful not to use too much heat and cause it to melt.

If that works, you could still have the outline there. Goo Gone might help with any left over glue.

If it just doesn't work, some jerseys have a single piece of fabric that has the player's name on it. You could put Ingram on a piece of matching fabric and have it sewn on.

Good Luck,

Tim

Thanks Tim, I've been wanting to get DJ's name off of there for a while, for some reason I was thinking Ingram was #20, but after his performance Saturday, no one can mistake what his number is. Smile I will try that and hopefully it'll work, it sounds good at least. Thanks again, RTR.

If you do use an iron, be CAREFUL! That silky material that they use on the shoulders and sleeves of replica jerseys cannot take an iron -- the fabric will melt. I stupidly ruined a perfectly good Titans jersey last year, thinking I could iron it.
