used speed on their line instead of size. that's the first team Bama's O-line has had to face that plays that style and we did it without two of our best O-linemen. not too shabby.

i certainly would like to have seen a little better accuracy on the long balls which would have changed things offensively, but it's hard to be accurate when you fear for your life.

--- it may be Tulane, but i'm telling you those guys hit harder than most of the teams Alabama will face this year.---

i don't know what they feed those cajuns to make them so angry but we need some for the uga game. Laughing

I'd dare say this Tulane team would have beaten Clemson.

I will be VERY interested to see how they do against a senior laden ECU team next week.

ECU should win...but we *should* have won by 40. If Tulane keeps their heads on straight and plays to their ability, ECU might just find themselves in a dog fight. If TU knocks off ECU after ECU beat Va Tech and blew up WVU, then we know the truth about how good TU is.

I am more interested in that game than our game with WKU.

that's kind of the same sentiment about Tulane beating Clemson, possibly, that was going around our house last night. They came out and punched us square in the mouth and didn't let up. There was zero intimidation on the side of Tulane. That team played TOUGH and very physical. I hope they do well.

From inside the Tulane staff.....this is prob the worst team Tulane has ever fielded. That was prior to last night.

The Tulane QB was pretty decent. Tall guy that would come up in the pocket and take a shot just after release. He may be better than was expected

Kudos to Tulane for the tenacity they played with. I have a lot of respect for them, especially since they didn't even have the benefit of their own practice facilities and schedules. Tulane was formidable and was quite ready to play.

Your right. Next weeks matchup against ECU should be very interesting and at least tell us something about what sorta talent we were up against. Not taking any credit away from TU but we might all be a little suprised, I'm hoping!

My sentiment exactly, ALMOST ('Bama game is more interesting to me only b/c I want to see if they learned anything from the Tulane game).

I finally got to watch the replay last night, and I was impressed with the Tulane defense, no doubt. They were clogging the running lanes, and blitzing very well. Wow, what a hit on Arenas. Shocked I hope both he and Tiffin are OK for the next game.

On a good note, a remember the 1992 season had a couple of squeekers as well. Let's learn from this, be thankful for the W, and move on ahead! Roll Tide!

I too got to watch the replay last night and I think it changed my view after being at the game and watching it. Got to see just how hard they came to play against us. Hats off to them for the fight.

I don't know guys....are all of these just excuses? I'm just not in a good place with confidence right now. It doesn't matter about me though. It's about the players and how they take this and what they do with it.

They had a chance to prove to us that we shouldn't have to worry about these type games. They didn't do it. I have to scratch my head after the Miss. State game and the ULM game and all the other motivational factors...did they rip those posters down? Did the seniors not take a role in preventing this type stuff from happening?

Making I'm making too much out of it. Too many questions and no real answers unless you're a player or staff member.
